We know we’re breaking the long-standing ‘Kanye-ban’ here on ITM, but this is probably worth it. In a display eerily similar to his 2006 tirade against Justice, Kanye West has again shown everyone that his ego impedes the flow of blood to his brain, hijacking the stage at today’s MTV Music Video Awards in New York.

This time however, it wasn’t Justice at the receiving end of Kanye’s wrath, but instead tween country singer Taylor Swift. Go figure, right? As the wholesome crossover star took to the stage in disbelief that she had beaten the likes of Lady GaGa and Beyonce for the ‘Best Female Video’ award, Kanye decided it was to be his moment. He stole the microphone from Swift, before proclaiming that Beyonce should have won the award.

Smooth stuff, Mr. West. Attacking someone like Taylor Swift is like setting fire to a really cute beetle. Really cruel and stupid. And also bound to make you look like the messiah of all douche bags. Consequently, there’s been an outpouring of anger directed at Kanye since the incident, with many celebrities venting their outrage on Twitter (naturally). Here’s a few choice quotes.

“Kanye west is the biggest piece of shit on earth. Quote me.” – Pink

“Fuck you kanye seriously your a c**t”. – Ruby Rose

Reports have been streaming out of the MTV Awards since the incident suggesting that Kanye was subsequently ejected from the ceremony following the outburst and that Beyonce called Taylor Swift up on stage during her acceptance speech as a means of apology, which either means that happy endings do really exist or that the whole thing was staged.

Oh, just as we’re about to put this to bed it looks as though Kanye’s issued an apology (in ALL CAPS so you know he’s serious) for his bad behaviour.

“I’M SOOOOO SORRY TO TAYLOR SWIFT AND HER FANS AND HER MOM. I SPOKE TO HER MOTHER RIGHT AFTER AND SHE SAID THE SAME THING MY MOTHER WOULD’VE SAID. SHE IS VERY TALENTED!”
