In the internet age where a click of a button can take you to your favourite artist’s homepage or blog or digital doorstep, the need for image perfection is higher than ever, with everyone scrambling to make sure press photos and images are in place and looking good to represent artists in the best light possible. Yet it’s pretty hard to get it right all the time and every time, leading to plenty of disastrous photo shoots floating about the internet.
And that’s where we come in. Being the online vultures that we are, we’ve spent the afternoon pouring over some of the major photographical goofs out there, finding some of our favourite artists (and some not-so-favourite too) captured at their very worst.
Whether it’s a stupid concept on the photo-shoot, some bad mugging from the artist or just something that’s down right weird, we’ve got it here. Check out the gallery below for some of the strange, the embarrassing and the just plain terrible artist photos out there.
