Justice announce their comeback

Those French maestros of distortion, Justice, clearly have a decent pair of heads on their shoulders. Having smashed onto the scene with their widely loved Cross album and subsequent live DVD A Cross The Universe, the pair of Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Auge have wisely opted to stay mainly in the shadows in 2009. Sure there have been bibs and bobs from camp Justice, including some cash-grabbing remixes for Lenny Kravitz and U2, but retreating from the spotlight as they’ve done has meant that we haven’t gotten sick of seeing the group so early into their career (*cough Sneaky Sound System*). Well it would seem as though the Parisian pair are at last ready to re-emerge from hibernation, planning a live comeback over New Years.

As reported by the NME, Justice have announced their first live show in what seems like forever as a part of the Ministry Of Sound NYE Live event in London on December 31st.

The NYE bash sees the electro boffins ring in 2010 alongside such other big names as Calvin Harris, Eric Prydz, Dave Spoon, Plump DJs and Deadmau5.

Whilst the NYE bash looks to be the business as is, the addition of a revitalised Justice is just the icing on the cake. Does this live comeback mean some new studio material is on the way? Well, going from news earlier this year that Justice’s second LP would see the light of day in the first quarter of 2010 we seriously hope so.

Yes, but if they were playing live - it would say live? DJ set means they're just spinning records?

Agreed; any activity is good. I did notice they played a Halloween gig in the states also; so they haven't dropped off completely. I think because Busy P's comments of recent have been around Uffie's upcoming album release; I think the Justice LP would be

are they still busy digging around old records to trim down from 10 minutes to 4 and call their own material? talentless hacks
