German electro-tech star Kris Menace collapsed for the second time in three weeks with fever, sweating attacks and crippling headaches last weekend, though chatting this week insisted he’s fine.
“At least it’s not swine flu, thank God,” said Kris, “I had normal flu last week and now it’s just a bad cold. But it won’t stop,” he added.
Twittering about first falling ill two weeks ago he described being ordered to stay in bed for a week by doctors after developing cold sweats after returning from a gig at Barcelona’s Razzmatazz club. Spinning in Poland and London just one week later, he declared himself ‘ready to kick ass’ though 30 minutes before his Ministry Of Sound set he twittered ‘I feel so ill . . . but I will def (definitely) play.” 4 hours later he sounded even worse.
“(I) had a fight with the Ministry technical guy! What a twat!” he stormed. “Somebody knows the guy wearing glasses? He better run next time he knows I’m around!”
Four days later he twittered again about his health, with a completely different slant. “Back from the doc,” said Kris. “I’ve got angina and a damaged liver from long term alcohol abuse,” he revealed, “My body can’t detoxinate. Not good. No Jager (Jagermeister) for a long time.”
In happier news, Kris also mentioned his brand new remixes of Depeche Mode’s new single Fragile Tension, both of which are out shortly on Mute Records.
