Texas traffic cops seized a number of Obama ‘ecstasy’ pills last week after pulling over a 22 year old driver. Palmview police spokesman Lenny Sanchez said the ‘brightly coloured tablets’ looked like ‘vitamins for kids’ and cautioned people to be on the look out for them.
The presidential pills first surfaced in April and prompted cautionary postings from users on various ecstasy related bulletin boards at the time. “Last Saturday I took a red and yellow one of these. Took three hours and never kicked in at all. I think they were straight caffeine or something cause I was dancing a lot but no high,” one user on Pillreports.com noted.
“Turns out Obama has his own ecstasy pill now! Too bad they’re bunk!” another user warned on a different forum. “Do not buy these! Do not eat these! It’s a funny press (shape) but they are not real mdma/xtc,” they surmised. America’s DEA confirmed the bogus nature of the pills soon after, declaring “[the] large numbers of tablets, particularly Obama’s contain BZP, TFMPP, and caffeine and no MDMA at all”.
