Research recently undertaken for a new film has uncovered the theory that Jesus paid a visit to the small, southern English town of Glastonbury, now famous for being the site of the world’s largest (and most waterlogged) open-air music festival.
It’s thought that Jesus went to Glastonbury with Joseph of Arimathea to visit and learn from the ancient druids, who were then known as the possessors of ancient wisdom. With today being the anniversary of his birth, could there be a more appropriate time for the news?
2010 will mark the Glastonbury festival’s 40th year, and founder Michael Eavis has promised it’ll be the biggest and best event yet. 2009 saw performances by big dance acts like David Guetta, Erol Alkan, The Crookers, Annie Mac, Calvin Harris and heaps more, while rumour still surrounds the yet-to-be-released 2010 line up
There’s been some serious hints that musician/activist/savior-on-earth Bono will headline with his band U2. Who knows, maybe JC will see fit to make a special guest appearance and save the world – just so Bono doesn’t have to.
