Currently in Australia tearing up festival stages across the country, the man they call Krafty Kuts is the latest dance artist to jump on the iPhone application bandwagon, releasing his very own Against The Grain DJ tools app in the iTunes store.
With names like Deadmau5, Diplo and Paul van Dyk all aboard the iPhone app train already, Krafty is certainly in fine company. His application promises to ‘add a new dimension to your DJ sets with this awesome sound effects tool’.
It comes pre-loaded with more than 100 samples, including MC shouts, sirens and bass drops. “I wanted to produce a sampler style app which could actually be used by DJs in clubs, on radio or even at home,” Krafty says.
And, although Krafty Kuts is most known and loved for the breakbeat style, he maintains that the application can be used by lovers of all genres of music, not just those who play the syncopated stuff.
If you want to check it out you can head to the iTunes store here.
