After much talk of the star studded collabs set for the highly anticipated Crookers debut album, we may have some indication of what may lay ahead, with Roisin Murphy recently sharing two solo tracks, Momma’s Place and Orally Fixated, potentially set for her up coming third solo album.

While Roisin is now a full time mum, she has had to stall her next album being completed, until she finishes working with the Crookers, with whom she confirms she has already written several tracks with.

Apart from hooking up in the studio, Ms Murphy confirms that her connection with Crookers runs deep, with the Irish singer often incorporating the Italian clubbers into her numerous DJ sets.

“I’ve got quite a lot of feel for them. I’ve used them when I’m DJing”, she said, before explaining that the big noise of the tracks can sometimes prove problematic for a Roisin Murphy set. “It’s very hard to play a Crookers track next to another track when you DJ, it kind of blasts out of the speakers”.

So this leaves us wondering, will Roisin Murphy be bringing her unique stamp to the Crookers collaboration and thus, could we have a possible sample of things to expect in the near future? Possibly. However, I’m sure the Crookers are equally as eager, and with huge anticipation, will not fail to deliver, by equally stepping up, for what is set to be one of 2010’s biggest releases.
