A firm favourite on the international festival calender for lucky globe-trotting ITMers, Serbia’s Exit Festival has suffered some dramatic setbacks in the last few years, with an unlucky string of accidents and deaths occurring at the celebrated four day event. Yet these unfortunate events have not deterred festival organisers, nor punters for that matter, from forging ahead with plans for 2010’s Exit Festival (July 8th-11th), which is looking to top previous years’ lineups.
Announced overnight, 2010’s Exit Festival will boast a damn impressive lineup of big name acts from all spectrums of the dance community including electronica stalwarts The Chemical Brothers who will be on headline duties with a brand new live show, as well as Norwegian crew Royksopp, Ed Banger heavies Busy P, SebastiAn and DJ Mehdi, Josh Wink, Ricardo Villalobos, Erol Alkan, Crookers, Crystal Castles and Moderat, who’ll also be playing live. Swoon.
Speaking about this year’s lineup announcement, Exit chief Bojan Boskovic admitted that “we still can’t believe that EXIT attracts such a great audience from all over the world and [we] consider ourselves very lucky. Seeing so many people enjoying themselves at our festival over the years is truly mind blowing. We appreciate the support of all our fans and will continue to make the festival better each year. We’ve also had some amazing artists performing for us over the years and we are excited to offer another diverse and exciting line up this year.”
If you’ll be overseas for the European summer and are keen to check out the massive festival (or, like us, you’d consider skipping off to Serbia for a lineup like that) head to the Exit homepage for to get your tickets.
