One of the most well known and respected international music festivals is of course Sónar – hell, we love it so much we had to include it in our big list of Festivals We Want. More than just a music festival, the three day event encompasses a range of electronic music and multimedia art.

This year’s event, to be held on 17, 18, 19 June 2010, will for the first time ever in their 17-year history, will be conducted over two simultaneous festivals in Barcelona and A Coruna. The line-up was recently announced and includes a spectacular range of artists from across a broad range of genres. Major names from the Spanish and international scene will be presenting their new shows live at Sónar 2010:

Sónar Galicia will take place in EXPOCoruña, with a brand new format that combines Sónar by Day and Sónar by Night. The festival presents important international artists and plenty of Galician multimedia artists and musicians.
