After an agonising round of teasers, news grabs, hints and viral marketing schemes, we have at last got a real, thick and meaty taste of the new material that Daft Punk have been working on for the upcoming Tron Legacy movie.
The new slice of Daft Punk goodness comes in the just-released trailer for Tron Legacy, which after a premiere at five locations around the world (including Sydney) has at last made its way online.
In the trailer which you can see below, as well as getting a better look at the visually magnificent computer-world of Tron, Oscar winner Jeff Bridges being all mysterious and Olivia Wilde in a bodysuit, we’re treated to a good two minutes of new Daft Punk material, finding the French robots embracing a more cinematic sound and working overtime on the bitcrusher. In short it’s awesome. And as a whole package Tron Legacy has shot to the top of our must see list fir 2010.
Now, only if only it wasn’t eight awful months away.
