This month, progressive breaks masters Hybrid will return with a follow-up to 2006’s I Choose Noise. Fourth LP Disappear Here sees the duo expanded to a trio, with vocalist Charlotte James joining Chris Healings and Mike Truman.

Hybrid yesterday posted a 10-minute album teaser on its website, and the results sound as sweeping and soundtrack-inspired as past outings. However, the group has taken a ‘more song-based’ approach this time, with Chris Healings remarking: “The music definitely reflects our desire to be a band, but firmly rooted in dance music.” Fans will be pleased to know an orchestra was employed for the studio sessions, ensuring Disappear Here will be full of those tingly Hybrid moments.

The outfit is set to reinvigorate its live show this July at the famed Glade Festival in the English countryside, sharing a bill with Tricky, Orbital and Simian Mobile Disco.

Disappear Here is out 29 March. Check out the three-part album trailer after the tracklisting.
