Set to land here next weekend for the Likes Of You tour, Bremen techno veteran Oliver Huntemann has been a busy man of late. As he recently told inthemix, 2010 has already been jammed with “lots of gigs and long days and nights spent in the studio” working on material for his burgeoning Ideal Audio label.

On his recent travels around America, Huntemann settled on a venue to record the third in his series of live club mixes Play!. With the first two volumes hosted at D-Edge in Sao Paulo and The Rex Club in Paris, Play! 03 comes from mighty New York institution Cielo. The DJ-producer wants these mixes to bottle the energy of his club sets, right down to including the cheers and whistles from the dancefloor. The compilation is expected in late May, and includes a track Huntemann made just for his Big Apple adventure, NYC (Keep on Playin’).

After striking gold with past collaborations Dios and Diablo, Huntemann has been back working with recent Future Music Festival star Dubfire. The duo’s new offering Fuego is set for an April release, and if we’re lucky we’ll hear it throbbing out the speakers at The Likes Of You shows.
