Last week, inthemix dropped the tantalising news that Ferry Corsten is keen to bring his all-night extravaganza ‘Full On Ferry’ to Australia. With the super-producer commanding the stage for nine hours, it’s the kind of event fans dream about.
However, Ferry is far from the only DJ who favours the extended sessions in the booth. Some of dance music’s reigning heroes are experts at all-nighters, whether they play trance, house, techno or even funk and soul. Here in Australia, we’ve been treated to some legendary extended sets – where the combination of crowd, club and performer result in a dancefloor masterclass. In honour of the marathon DJs out there, ITM has rounded up some of our favourite kickers-on.
