Coming into its third year, the Beatport Music Awards are back once again, doling out gongs to the artists and tunes that’ve made the most impressions on dance music fans over the last twelve months.

Following two huge years of Deadmau5 domination, the field of nominations for the 2010 awards looks pretty evenly spread, with nods going to diverse artists such as Boys Noize, A-Trak, Armand Van Helden, Above & Beyond, Fever Ray, Caspa, Plump DJs and more. Oh and somehow Tiga gets lumped into it all as an ‘indie-dance’ act. Who knew?

The Australian contingent is still kinda light on ground, with only nominations for Perth youngster Shazam, TV Rock (for progressive…?), and hard master Dr Willis repping the local talent. To check out all the nominations and cast your vote hit up beatportal.com/awards. We’ll be throwing in a jillion votes for Guetta, just for kicks y’know.
