We could barely believe the news ourselves last year when word got out that trance superman Armin van Buuren would be releasing a self-branded video game allowing fans to fiddle with Armin’s Wii from the comfort of their bedrooms. But it’s indeed not an ongoing late April Fool’s Day joke, and just today more tidbits of information for the game have been revealed.

Obviously titled in homage to this very site, Armin’s digital debut In The Mix: Featuring Armin van Buuren is less than a month away from hitting the Wii consoles of AVB fanboys and girls the world over if reports from gaming site Aussie-Nintendo are to be believed. The gaming site issued a fresh post on the Armin title today, offering up a bunch of tasty new images whilst noting that the video game is down to the wire in development.

Over on the site for the game’s producers, Foreign Media, there’s also some interesting little snippets of info about what form In The Mix’s gameplay would take, revealing that there’d be various modes for would-be DJs to get into, including Career Mode with tutelage from AVB himself, Party Mode for multi-player fun, and Studio Mode to get into some beat-making.

Meanwhile, from the look of the first images from the game, it looks like the game will incorporate the Wii wands for some special bits of fun, namely executing some spot-on Jesus-poses. Just. Like. Armin. OMG. Check out the array of images to get a taste of what we can expect with the game, and also check out the tacklisting below of the 60+ tunes you’ll be hearing in the game.

I dunno if I would bother with this if the visuals are anything to go by. I would much rather see a proper crowd than an array of pointless colours. Carl Cox' PS2 game = much better imo.

i never thought Dj hero would be any good as it would not be like the real thing - and in some ways it's not - but in a lot of ways it is and it's still a f-ton of fun (own cdj's too). I will definitely be getting this for nothing more than just a bit of
