We always knew Ed Banger supremo and former Daft Punk manager Busy P (or Pedro Winter depending on how familiar you are with the Frenchman) was a veteran party starter of the highest degree, but with his latest venture, the beloved Frenchman is giving new meaning to the phrase “doing it for the kids”.
Popping up in some online footage from last week, it turns out that Busy P has traded his Ed Rec followers for a new audience, namely kids of the under-ten set, with the Frenchman donning a head-to-toe cartoon dragon getup and DJing a bash for some excitable tykes near the Rhône in France.
But while you’d Busy P would have to, err, alter his setlist with some Wiggles songs to meet the tastes of such a party’s crowd, the Ed Banger head honcho did the opposite in fact, treating the kids to a mini history lesson on dance music, busting out Daft Punk’s Revolution 909.
What’s even more amazing about the oddball gig is that in the footage you can see below the kids are actually loving it, getting their pint-sized gurn on and matching Busy P’s bizarrely hypnotic dragon dance moves. Seriously, they’re like seven and I feel like they’re already cooler than me. Watch the clip embedded below and practice the ‘Busy Bobble’ for this weekend’s clubbing activities.
