The tween-geek craze that confuses perhaps even more than Justin Bieber’s continued super-stardom, The Twilight Saga, shows no signs of slowing down it’s pale emo grip over popular culture. And now it turns out they’re circling electronic fans, courting fabled production outfit UNKLE to be on the soundtrack to the next film in the Twilight series, Eclipse.

Possessing a knack for recruiting top notch musical talent for their soundtracks, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack will pull together a venerable cast of credible acts including upcoming Australian visitors Muse, Metric, Sia, and The Bravery in addition to winter album specialists UNKLE, with group mastermind James Lavelle sounding chuffed to be included.

“My twelve year old daughter is a huge fan of the Twilight films, so having a track in the new movie means that at long last I will have some sort of credibility in her eyes,” Lavelle said in a recent interview. “Sadly I don’t think it will last for long!”

Well, regardless of how dubious the Twilight franchise might be, we congratulate UNKLE on their track and the brand new audience of squealing teenagers that are now at their fingertips.
