Well, it would seem as though coupling-up is on the mind of trance’s biggest players right now! Last week ITM told you about the just announced partnership between Paul Van Dyk and Armin van Buuren with their respective VANDIT and Armada Music imprints, and now the word is out that Armin is hooking up with fellow euphoria-maven Ferry Corsten.
No strangers to working side by side in the past having shared some (all too brief) stage time at Summafieldayze back in summer 2009, Armin and Ferry have reunited in the studio to work on some new material for AVB’s Mirage artist album, due out on September 10th.
As spotted by some eagle-eyed ITM forumers today, Ferry broke the news of the collaboration, Tweeting the above photo and saying “Ladies and gents, keep an eye out for @arminvanbuuren feat. Ferry Corsten – Minack on Armin’s upcoming album Mirage” with Armin confirming that both Ferry and he were “really proud” of the track and would be “roadtesting” it out on tour.
We shall have to wait and see if it’ll top the duo’s last pairing on Exhale, but either way we’re sure it’ll be overflowing with the same orange-drenched Dutch pride that we saw when Armin welcomed home the Netherlands football team from the World Cup.
In other Armin related buzz, we’ve been keeping one lazy eye on the development of In The Mix: Featuring Armin van Buuren, the Jesus-posing one’s own video game, due out on Ninteno Wii in August. A whole wave of new screenshots from the video game has been released this week as well as some unearthed in-game footage which you can check out below. Is it the train wreck that everyone has been forecasting? We’re not really sure what’s going on in the shots and the video to be honest but needless to say we’re intrigued.
