Following the death of Michael Jackson, fans of the King of Pop braced their wallets for the inevitable onslaught of posthumous releases that was guaranteed to flow forth like Niagara Falls, beginning with the dubious tribute of the Michael Jackson Remix Suite series, which saw producers like Steve Aoki and Paul Oakenfold take on MJ’s pre-Epic catalogue. Now we’re approaching the next chapter of that deluge, with the first of ten ‘new’ Michael Jackson albums set for release this November.

As reported by Rolling Stone, the November record is the first in the series of posthumous releases to be comprised solely of unreleased material from Jackson’s vault and will cover some impressive ground across the star’s career, featuring tracks recorded just prior to his 2009 death and stretching right back to the Bad era when MJ was still working with Quincy Jones.

As well as chart-poppers like will.i.am and Winterbeatz headliner Ne-Yo, the as-yet-untitled set includes material recorded with Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins who will be overseeing the 10-album collection which Sony BMG will be rolling out over the next seven years.

If there’s anything as good as this involved then we’ll be okay with it.
