Club favourite Drop The Lime is backing up his recent Australian tour with another chunk of love for fans, releasing his FabricLive mix for the fabled label of the same name this September 13th and now we’ve got a look at what’s in store for listeners.

As reported by Data Transmission, Drop The Lime’s mixed effort for the 53rd installment in the FabricLive series finds the New York DJ batting in his wheelhouse, throwing down plenty of jackin’ tunes of the minute from the likes of Foamo, Egyptrixx and Australia’s own Tom Piper and Blaze Tripp as well as plenty of gems from his own Trouble & Bass record label and big DTL remixes.

Just as he did during his recent Australian sets, Drop The Lime’s mix features the greaser-inspired DJ mixing things up with some rockabilly and classic American rock with The Strangeloves and Bill Haley & The Comets both featuring as a curious bridge to the Fabric mix.

“I’m surprised I got away with putting rockabilly on a FabricLive CD,” he said of the mix. “I wanted to make the mix timeless; it’s tempting to pick all of the cool hype tracks, or all of the newest tracks, but I wanted to make something that you could listen to a few years down the line and still love it. And it’s something you can listen to, it’s a mix, not necessarily something you want to pump your first in the air to. That’s what the club is for; I feel like a mix is for listening to and really appreciating the music.”
