We’ve held off on writing about Chilly Gonzales’ feature film Ivory Tower for a while now simply for the reason that it sounds too ridiculously good to be true. What do we mean? Well, from all reports, Ivory Tower is the first film from the Canadian piano-gone-electro virtuoso and it also stars Tiga and Peaches in the story about two chess prodigies who also happen to brothers in conflict.

But as it turns out, Ivory Tower is indeed fo’ real and we’ve now got a first look at the film with the release of a teaser-trailer/video clip set to the Gonzales tune, I Am Europe. As well as being a hilarious ramble of one-liners like “I’m a dog shit ashtray” and “I’m gay pastry and racist cappuccino”, the track is also from Gonzales’ Ivory Towers LP, which Boys Noize told us he was producing earlier this year.

Check out the trailer below for a look at this warped and wonderful film, which might just give Mr Oizo’s Rubber a run for its money as this year’s must-see oddball flick.

Our favourite part of the clip – besides the Rocky esque montage music – is without a doubt Tiga’s performance as Gonzales’ smarmy brother, reminding us of those gut-busting viral videos Tiga produced at the time of Ciao!. Nobody acts like a dick as perfectly as this guy.
