Step aside and jump off a cliff, iPad DJs everywhere, now this is something to get excited about. As eagle eyed internet explorers might’ve seen already, the folks over at Engadget have showed off a super-cool insight into a potential future for DJs, namely, the touch-screen turntable.
While touch-screen turntables have come in different shapes and guises before, this latest model for a touch-screen DJ interface comes from a Chilean tech-head who’s set up a touch-ready tablet, or rather a pedestal looking at the size of the thing, called Token which once combined with a Traktor plugin becomes a mind-blowing piece of DJ technology. In short, we wanty!
Scope out the video below for a quick tutorial of the Token system with a dark shrouded DJ showing off the interface and dropping some Bag Raiders to get you in the mood. While the interface is a bit too big to roll out in a club, the whole thing does look pretty droolworthy. Would you want one? Jeff Mills probably does.
