Following on from The Knife’s surprising turn as composers for the Darwin-based ballet, Tomorrow, In A Year – which we’re still waiting to arrive in Australia, actually! – one half of the oddball Swedish electro pairing, Karin Dreijer Andersson is hitting the stage once again, this time scoring an upcoming play under her Fever Ray guise.

As reported by Pitchfork, Fever Ray will craft the music for a theatrical adaptation of Ingmar Bergman’s Hour Of The Wolf feature from 1968. The staged interpretation of Bergman’s grim film is being devised by Andreas Nilson , who as well as providing the look for Tiga’s Planet Turbo show is the man behind the psyched-out visuals for The Knife and Fever Ray. The force is strong with these Swedes.

While it’s seemingly another project to get in the way of Fever Ray touring Australia, we’re pretty impressed at how successful Fever Ray and The Knife have been at adapting their spooky electronica to a thousand other mediums. With that in mind, here’s our list of fantasy projects that the Swedish duo will (hopefully) never get involved with. It’s Friday, anyway.
