While our wounds have barely healed from the last aural assault that British karaoke contest X-Factor gave us with Diva Fever’s Duck Sauce desecration, we couldn’t help but revisit the show for another brain-numbing piece after word got out that noodle-pimping dance act Jamiroquai received a frosty reception when they performed live on the show.

According to the insufferable Daily Mail website, Jamiroquai’s performance got the snub from the program’s judges after just days earlier Jamiroquai’s frontman and owner of a thousand hats, Jay Kay, lashed out at the show’s lead personalities Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue in print, calling them “fucking useless”. (*high five*)

“What the fuck,” Jay Kay began before launching in on Cole and Minogue. “When have you ever done anything? You’re useless. The pair of you. I mean you look great and I’d like to fucking shag you but that’s all.”

The quotes from Jay Kay are genuinely hilarious and probably the best thing to emerge from camp Jamiroquai since Little L came out, with the singer spitting venom at the judges of the show he was scheduled to appear on, adding “I just don’t like the wanky stuff I have to do. Fucking X Factor and that.”

Jay Kay and the band were on the program to promote the latest Jamiroquai album, Rock Dust Light Star, which by all reports is actually alright. Maybe after this outburst it might get a few more listens.
