Local fans had a big taste of the LCD Soundsytem live experience when the NYC collective landed in Australia earlier this year for the Splendour In The Grass festival and some select sideshows with DFA buddies Hot Chip. While we wait to feel the belly-rumbling bass of Pow Pow again when the band make it back here for Big Day Out 2011, LCD Soundsystem are giving us all another chance to relive the magic with a new live record set for release next week.

Before we get ahead of ourselves, however, the LCD live album isn’t quite the ‘live’ album you might expect, with the James Murphy led crew recording the album live to tape in a London studio, as opposed to with the aid layering and a mess of technology.

The appropriately titled The London Sessions will be available digitally on November 9th and draws material from all LCD albums including live favourites Daft Punk Is Playing At My House, All My Friends and yeah, even Drunk Girls.
