In between swapping bed time stories with Justin Bieber, L.A. production legend Dr. Dre has been seriously dragging his heels with the release of his third LP Detox, now nearly a decade in the making.
But now we might finally have some good news for the wait-weary ‘Dre fans as a new tune called Kush and a flurry of new information have touted a February 2011 release date for the long awaited disc.
As reported by NME, Dr Dre’s people put out the new tune Kush featuring regular collaborator Snoop Dogg and Akon of all people floating over some particularly lush ‘Dre beats.
Following the unveiling of the tune a press release was also issued with details on the supposed February release of Detox, touting featured album guests including Jay-Z, Eminem, The Game and, weirdly enough, La Roux – the UK electro group whose singer Elly Jackson also shows up on the new Kanye West album.
Suss out Kush below and look out for a story just like this next June.
