It’s pretty exciting to have French legends Daft Punk back in the spotlight thanks to the release of their super-duper anticipated Tron Legacy soundtrack – find out the skinny on the duo’s involvement in the film here. And as you’d expect for such an event like this the marketing machine is spinning at high speed, today revealing some Daft Punk-branded headphones for fans to drool over.
Following in the footsteps of another studio recluse Dr. Dre and his line of high priced Beats headphones Daft Punk will get their own line of Tron Legacy-inspired headphones out in international stores this month.
Produced by film studio giant Disney’s Consumer Products line and audio equipment guys Monster the headphones will retail for $350 USD which thankfully works out okay with the Australian dollar the way it is.
“To complement the futuristic Tron Legacy soundtrack created by Daft Punk required cutting-edge products that utilize the most innovative technology and high-end design,” Disney rep Chris Heatherly said of the product’s unveiling. “We sought out true industry leaders to bring to life Daft Punk-inspired merchandise that will take the Tron Legacy experience to a whole new level for fans.”
