With their monster house hit Barbra Streisand remaining firmly stuck in everybody’s heads it looks as though the Duck Sauce domination won’t be letting up anytime soon, with one half of the star duo telling ITM that there’s more ‘Sauce on the way.
Speaking about his collaboration with fellow New York dwelling DJ A-Trak, Armand Van Helden told inthemix that there is definitely going be a “full album” from their Duck Sauce collaboration.
“We’ve got a lot of material already made for it,” Van Helden told ITM of the next step for the producer duo. “I don’t exactly what format it will take, if it will be an album or something less conventional. I think everybody’s searching for the next format, but whatever it is we’ll make it fun.”
Speaking about the runaway success of Barbra Streisand, Van Helden admitted that the pair were surprised by how well the single was received, forcing them to reconsider their already-recorded material for the album.
“Now that Barbra Streisand has had this level of success we’re kinda of re-looking at some of the songs we made,” he explained. “We have to rethink some of what we’ve done. In a way Barbra Streisand has made us go back to the drawing board for Duck Sauce. I know it’ll be fun though, whatever we come up with. We’ll be done with it soon, that’s for sure.”
As well as their individual tours of Australia this summer, Armand Van Helden and A-Trak will unite for a one-off Duck Sauce set at Sydney’s Field Day festival on New Year’s Day.
