Dance fans might remember the mini-saga of sorts that erupted over the 2011 schedule for Miami’s Winter Music Conference. Usually coinciding with the massive Ultra Music Festival, this year’s dates were unceremoniously moved up a few weeks, causing all sorts of hysteria and outrage amongst the DJ community and in particular with the Swedish House Mafia dudes Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso who declared they’d skip both events in favour of holding their own monster party in Miami.

Going down on March 26th, the group’s Masquerade Motel Miami bash looks to be a star-stuffed event, with the SHM boys ringing in a host of famous friends to join them behind the decks including Calvin Harris, Armand Van Helden, Pete Tong, A-Trak and Australia’s own ‘Mafia disciple Dirty South.

Masquerade Motel will of course also feature the Swedish House Mafia gang themselves, with Angello backing up after his Future Music Festival commitments to throw the party.
