Y’all might know the saga behind Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 2, the Beastie Boys record that was due for release in 2009 until one third of the group, MCA, was stricken with cancer and took time out from the Beasties to seek treatment and recover with his family leading to the record being put on ice for a stretch.

Back then it was Pt. 1 in the ‘Hot Sauce’ series, but having the sense of humour that they do, the Beastie Boys switched the numbering and the untouched record is now at last set to be released to fans on May 2nd internationally. Whew, now we can finally stop talking about it.

In other Beasties news and the Portland police force has offered a reward for the bank robber that the media has dubbed ‘The Beastie Boys Bandit’ in honour of the man’s disguise which includes a fake wig, moustache, sunnies and dodgy dark suit straight out of the Sabotage clip.
