Is Tomorrowland in Belgium the ultimate dance music festival? Plenty of ITMers certainly think so, and it’s not hard to see why. As well as poaching superstar names like David Guetta, Tiesto and Faithless, the festival caters for a wide range of electronic persuasions. Like deep house? How about a whole stage dedicated to it. Want dubstep all weekend? That’s covered too. You get the idea…

Given the festival’s pull with us all the way down here in Australia, inthemix has been following the line-up developments with an eager eye. In the way of several European festivals, the acts have been released incrementally, a tactic that makes sense with a festival of this momentous scale.

Over the last few weeks the stage line-ups have started to appear, and you can be sure there’s plenty more to come, including a to-be-announced arena for Richie Hawtin and friends. Already things are shaping up pretty spectacularly.

Despite playing their final live shows in London later this month, Sister Bliss and Maxi Jazz will appear in soundsystem mode on the Friday at Tomorrowland. The weekend before taking on Global Gathering in the UK, Above & Beyond’s ‘Group Therapy’ stage looks suitably huge, while elsewhere there’s curated line-ups from We Love…, Dim Mak, Cocoon, Ovum and oh-so-many more.
