The music industry owes much to the technological innovations and people of Japan and since the horrific natural disasters rocked the island nation the music community has done its bit to support Japan. That giving spirit can be seen once again in a fund-raising auction by one of the industry’s major labels, EMI, who’re auctioning off a plethora of rare music merchandise and memorabilia.

The auction is now live, with EMI offering bidders the chance to score a bunch of great swag from their favourite artists with 100% of the proceeds going to the Red Cross’ Japan relief fund. As much as we want that a ‘personal phone call’ from Huey Lewis we’re far more excited about the prospect of owning some incredible artifacts from the label’s dance roster, including a signed drum machine pulled from The Prodigy’s own studio, the vintage Ferrari featured in Daft Punk’s 2007 feature film Electroma and the diamante mau5-head that Deadmau5 used in many shows. Hopefully he gives it a spray with Glen20 first.

There’s plenty of other riches up for grabs as well, with artists like Hot Chip, Tinie Tempah, Depeche Mode and Beastie Boys all donating items to the auction. You can even buy David Guetta’s old MacBook! Reckon he’s got inthemix bookmarked?

Check out the auction over here and see the details of each item up for sale below.
