The excitement around A State Of Trance 500 in Sydney has been steadily mounting ever since Armin van Buuren announced he would be ending the world tour here. The trance kingpin has built his radio show into the international force it is today, accumulating 15 million listeners over 10 years and 500 episodes. It’s little wonder he’s celebrating in style.

With just a couple of days until ASOT500 touches down in Sydney, you might want to take notice of the massive memento out Friday 15 April through iTunes. The A State Of Trance 500 five-disc set is a definitive round-up of the show’s legacy.

While Armin himself takes care of the opening disc, he’s invited some of the scene’s leading names to helm the other mixes. Disc Two is in the hands of long-standing vet Paul Oakenfold, who works a selection of his own productions into the tracklist.

Disc Three is handled by German high-flyer Markus Schulz, with Cosmic Gate and Andy Moor overseeing Four and Five respectively. With over 50 tracks representing the many shades of A State Of Trance, we’d say this one sells itself. Check out the tracklistings below.
