There were plenty of goodies up for grabs earlier this month as global music industry giant EMI and its plentiful artist roster auctioned off music merch and memorabilia to raise funds for the Red Cross’ Japanese disaster relief fund, including some gear nabbed straight from The Prodigy’s studio, the vintage Ferrari used in Daft Punk’s Electroma movie and even David Guetta’s old laptop for obsessive fans out there.

EMI’s auction has now wrapped up and it seems as though the goodwill was at peak proceeds from the sell-off climbing to $940,000 (USD) – half of which coming from bids and the remaining $470,000 being matched dollar for dollar by the label.

As well as Daft Punk’s pimped ride gathering $42,000 – quite the steal, right? – at the end of bidding, the diamante-encrusted mau5-head previously worn on stage by Deadmau5 fetched a staggering $19,000. There were plenty of fan-made ‘heads on display at the first run of Creamfields festival dates over the weekend but we don’t reckon any fan spent that much making theirs! You can check out Deadmau5 fandom reach a fever pitch in ITM’s photo galleries below.

We’re still holding out for the full results from the auction but if you were bidding for Katy Perry’s trampoline couldn’t push your limit past $5,074 then we’ve got bad news for you.
