Judging by the response on inthemix to the Global Gathering 2011 line-up announcement, the festival’s work was pretty much done. The other UK behemoth Creamfields might have exclusively snagged Tiesto, Armin van Buuren and Swedish House Mafia, but Global Gathering responded by inviting all their favourite DJs (and there’s a lot of them) to share top-billing with ‘huge right now’ live acts like Pendulum, Chase & Status and Sub Focus.
To sweeten the deal, a few more names have been added to the weekend-long rave-up. Umek will now join the Carl Cox: The Revolution Continues arena, while Henry Saiz and Marc Marzenit play live together in the Bedrock Arena overseen by John Digweed. Also added are Guti, Carlio Lio and Cinderella. We wouldn’t be complaining.
