Mutual admirers and sometime collaborators Flying Lotus and Radiohead might be on another creative collision course if speculation is to be believed, with word out today saying that FlyLo could be remixing the entirety of The King Of Limbs, the most recent record from the brainy UK band.

As reported by Pitchfork, the hype around this news originally swirled out of an interview with Flying Lotus himself in which the avant garde LA beatmaker revealed he was at work on remixing “the new Radiohead record”.

“They wanted me to remix the new Radiohead record, and I’ve been trying to mess with that a little bit. But I haven’t gotten to it yet,” he said before going on to explain that he was currently stumped as to which direction the project might take. “It’s too early to say, man. I have no fucking clue. It’s difficult to work with, because the pieces that they gave me, there’s no real a cappella. It’s like piano and voice at the same time…So I have to come up with some shit that’s a little similar to the record, I guess, to an extent.”

It’s still a little ambiguous as to whether the Flying Lotus/Radiohead partnership is for an entirely remixed version of The King Of Limbs or just one re-done track from the record. Either way though, we know a few fanboys that’ll need to change their briefs in anticipation of this.
