UPDATE: THE NEW ALBUM WILL BE RELEASED IN AUSTRALIA ON 02/09/11 THROUGH THE RAPTURE’S NEW SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE HOME WITH MODULAR RECORDINGS

Though it may’ve seemed like a missed opportunity that The Rapture didn’t release any new material this past Saturday (aka the day the world was meant to end), the New York disco punks haven’t lagged too far behind, today announcing details of their long-in-the-making third full length album.

After telling inthemix last year that they had wrapped production and mixing duties on the third LP with Cassius super-producer Philippe Zdar and would be “sitting on it” until finding the right label to release it with, The Rapture have today revealed that they’ll be releasing the now called The Grace Of Your Love through James Murphy’s beloved NYC imprint DFA Records.

Fans might recall that Murphy and old sparring partner Tim Goldsworthy produced and released The Rapture’s debut album Echoes in 2003 so the band’s return to the DFA fold is a very sweet homecoming for all involved.

The record is due for release on September 6th internationally with Australia probably coming a day or so before that. Check out the tracklisting below as well as photos from The Rapture’s summer visit to Australia.
