Of all the illustrious company Massive Attack have kept over the years (see the likes of Tricky, Damon Albarn, Neneh Cherry and more) the UK legends’ most recent collaboration may be their strangest yet.

As reported by pretty much every blogger and their mum, Massive Attack have gone into the studio with none other than Hollywood starlet and occasional husky-voiced singer Scarlett Johansson to record the song Summertime as a part of the soundtrack for Mexico-centred crime film Days Of Grace.

Admirers of Johansson and her, uh, talents will of course note that the actress was previously under scrutiny as a musician for her 2008 album Anywhere I Lay My Head, a record of Tom Waits covers produced by TV On The Radio genius Dave Sitek.
