File this one under ‘WTF’! It’s just been announced that Dutch DJ and producer Fedde le Grand will be supporting Coldplay at their upcoming American Express ‘Unstaged’ concert in Madrid. Yes, electro-house anthem maker Fedde le Grand will be supporting the band-of-choice for mums and hopeless romantics around the world. We don’t get it either.
Apparently, Coldplay asked le Grand to support the group following the success of his remix of their track Paradise. Le Grand stated “I think this is the first time Coldplay has asked a DJ to join them for the support. It is a huge honor. But at the same time it feels like a logical next step. In my music I am always looking for exciting new connections. Different elements that come together and create something new.”
If you’re curious how well Put Your Hands Up For Detroit will fare as a warm-up to Coldplay’s Yellow, you can find out when the concert is streamed live around the world via YouTube on October 26. Unless this all turns out to be a hoax.
