Any line-up that boasts the talents of Caribou, Four Tet and James Holden is off to a very good start. A line-up that pools all that talent into an 11-piece band called the Caribou Vibration Ensemble is truly enviable. Last year, Caribou leader Dan Snaith assembled an all-star team for the All Tomorrow’s Parties festival in New York, and next month he’s doing it again in the UK with some new friends.

At ATP’s Nightmare Before Christmas, Caribou will be joined by Four Tet on electronics and synths, James Holden on modular synthesisers, iconic jazz figure Marshall Allen from Sun Ra Arkestra and – just because – a four-piece drum section and two drummers. If that isn’t a melting pot of electronic maestros, we don’t know what is.
