Recently, an amusing (albeit neatly edited) image did the rounds which fulfilled one of the internet’s basic needs: belittling Skrillex fans. After the US star posted on Facebook that Flim by fellow Future Music Festival 2012 visitor Aphex Twin is his “fav song of all time”, a few hapless commenters admitted they were left unfulfilled by the song’s failure to provide a sick “drop”.

This glaring deficiency in the oeuvre of Aphex Twin did not go unnoticed by Canadian mischief-maker Tiga and his Turbo Recordings stable. A YouTube upload from the Turbo camp this morning comes with this message: “Recently, Skrillex posted Aphex Twin’s Flim, saying it was his favorite song of all-time. Unfortunately, his legions of discerning fans were upset by the track’s glaring lack of a drop. We gave Scottish prodigies Clouds two hours to “correct” this, and hopefully redeem AFX in the eyes of dubstepchildren across the U.S.”
We just hope the internet world sees a joke for a joke and Clouds don’t become accidental heroes of bargain-basement dubstep sets…
