Legendary UK DJ, John Peel, has compiled the December issue of Fabric Live’s mix CD series. The mix is said to be a stirring trawl through his record collection from punk, dub and funk through to techno and beats.

Peel’s Radio One show show has been a pioneering force in UK music for around 30 years. It played a pivotal role in disseminating early experimental music in the 60s and 70s and has always been a genre mash up which manages to spotlight the best and most exciting sounds. For this history he’s been respected by music lovers the world over, whether it’s punk, psychedelia, mod, indie, dub reggae or techno.

The Fabric Live mix spans over 50 years of music and includes tracks from Don Carlos, Trouble Funk, The Fall, The Datsuns, MC Det, Smith & Selway, Joy Division and the Undertone’s pop punk anthem `Teenage Kicks’. Keep an eye out as it is due to hit the shelves on December 2nd.
