Australia's 1st Lady of Live Vocal & Djing.
Okay. Djing is tough - fact. Yep, it's difficult enough to beat mix, throw in belting out live vocals into the mix while your doing it and well it's another level of freaking hard all together! Not for Melbourne's own first lady of live vocal n' DJing, Lux, however. Armed with two decks and a microphone, this singing dj is starting to make waves for the quality of her tunes and sets far and wide. "The Knowledge" - Beat Mag.
Stemming from the mid 90's underground warehouse scene in Melbourne, LUX has been mixing live at clubs, festivals and on radio ever since. Setting out to entice and corrupt all dance lovers with her funk in the trunk taste in Electronica. Techno, Tech House, Electro & Acid Trance.
With a meticulous eye for programming & a flawless mixing technique LUX has gained her very own fan base that continues to follow. Being booked to play everything from club to rave all over Australia (Family, Billboards, Plantation & more); it's any wonder writing music and producing it herself has been a natural progression from djing. But what really sets LUX apart from the pack is her live vocal set. Incorporating vocals she writes & drops live herself whilst djing. "Fucking Unbelievable" - Charlie Owen (Divinyls). Named in the top 75 female dj's in NZ & AUS by EMI 2011.
