All About Me
I started writing for ITM back in 2000, 19 years old and passionate about anything to do with dance music. I wasn't always "Kat_in_Japan" as alot of my early reviews were posted by my lovely Brisbane editor at the time, Cosmo Cater. In 2003 however I moved to Japan for three years and that's when the name was born....
I've done hard house raving in Brisbane, dressed up cyber in the UK, experienced outdoor psy-trance parties plus had my eyes opened to detroit techno in Japan, travelled to warehouse trance parties in Berlin, have lost it at numerous parties at Sidney Myer Music Bowl.....the list could go on and on. In my short life, I've happily embraced all aspects of the dance music scene and this doesn't look like stopping. What keeps me going on is the fact that there is always more to see, learn and do in this scene and I love it!
In December 2008, I became your new Victorian State Promotions Coordinator. Melbourne is an amazing city full of vibrant, fashionable, friendly people. The past three years have been truly amazing ... but my role has come to an end unfortunately ... thank you to all the contributors for making the last three years BRILLIANT!
