All About Me

Chris Partridge aka Parto began his journey into playing music at 15 years old. With a friend’s brother bringing over a set of turntables and a swag of vinyl, the likes of Ultra-Sonic, Scooter, Bass Boy and The Prodigy, he knew then that he wanted to master the art of DJing. Fast forward 15 years and Chris has mastered the art and has a huge amount of gigs under his belt.

Whilst known primarily for his achievements in Hard Dance, there has been a recent change of focus for Chris.

Having played for nearly every promoter of the harder styles of dance music in Brisbane, Chris is at the forefront of Hard House and NRG in Brisbane.

His musical endeavours have led him to be part of the highly successful record label and promotions company, Renewable NRG. Since its inception, Renewable NRG has developed into the leading Hard House label in Australia and held a number of parties showcasing artists such as Jody 6, Dramatik, High Dosage and Manik.

Despite this success in the area of Hard Dance, Chris has recently decided to re-direct his musical path to another genre. Whilst still maintaining an interest in both the label and promotions side of Renewable NRG, Parto has rediscovered his love of Trance and has shifted his DJing in this new direction.

Focussing on both Uplifting and Tech Trance, Chris has achieved quite a bit in the short time he has been playing Trance. Only 2 months after beginning to play this new genre, he entered the GPO Discovered DJ Comp, the biggest DJ comp ever held in Australia. With over 180 entrants, Chris had to get into the competition the hard way, playing a wildcard round to secure a place within the main draw. Throughout the competition Chris showed excellent track selection and precise mixing to progress all through the competition and make the Grand Final. While narrowly missing taking out the title, this experience provided Chris with valuable feedback and confidence in his new found genre.

Since then, Chris has had guest appearances on the Taste of Trance podcast and received healthy support from the Global Trance Angels; an international network of Trance DJ’s and fans.

In addition to this, he has also played supporting Trance superstar 4 Strings.

His energetic stage presence and ability to take the crowd on a journey through his sets has seen him become an in-demand Hard House DJ and an up and coming star of the Trance scene. His new direction has widened Chris’ experience and allowed him to look at new ways to mix and evolve as an artist.

Certainly one to watch, Chris is sure to become a highly sought after artist.
