A multi-media reporter and freelance journalist based in Berlin. From Australia, I worked for five years for the ABC.
I first DJ'd in 1998 in the bar my brother was the manager of. I used to play Tuesday nights. After some months I was talent scouted by a local DJ company which led to me seven years as a professional DJ. I only lasted 18 months working for the DJ company and was self-employed for the remainder.
During that time I progressed from naff parties - playing if a light came on in a toilet - to 5 nights a week in bars and clubs.
I developed an eclectic style, including funk and soul, hip-hop, house, beats and breaks. I took my records to the UK, Spain and Germany and have played to extremely diverse crowds. My first love was big-beat and I've been living it down ever since. I now love breaks.
