Is the ‘promoter DJ’ killing our club scene?

All About Me

Jem Lang is all about sharing his enthusiasm for music and zest for life. Not only is he the DJ playing the most uplifting tunes, he’s the man who is taking you on a journey through his passion of Trance, and his love of life.

Starting the journey as a young clubber and music purveyor at a large music store, Jem bought his turntables at 21, with his debut at a house party in Sydney; from there it was history.

Jem has been playing at all the classic clubs and hottest new venues in Adelaide such as Rise, Live, Earth, Soda Room, Black Cat & Euro Bar, he’s also been a resident at Adelaide’s classic institution Cargo, and has spun tunes with Master Kaos in Melbourne at Bubble.

With great energy and strong presence behind the decks, Jem Lang has also been heard playing alongside other trance legends such as Jason Midro, DJ Ange, Phonatics, DJ Madusa, Josh, Master Kaos, Andrew Howlett, Damage, James Corbett, Phat Controller to name a few.

Having a solid collection of music, Jem has been influenced by great producers and DJs such as  Armin Van Buuren, Sander Van Doorn, Ferry Corsten and Eddie Halliwell. Although Jem started out on the turntables mixing mainly hard house and darker trance, with the evolution of technology and equipment, Jem is constantly evolving his sound. Being able to chop between Vinyl, CD and his sample base on his Macbook Pro, ultimately creates a more unique experience for the listener.

In addition to possessing a vinyl bag of tracks and tricks, he also combines his talents, by performing along side the delectable vocalist, Lauren Neko. Lauren Neko is an international vocalist and producer also from Adelaide, with releases on Ministry of Sound and Sneakerz Muzik, and adds a unique energy presence alongside Jem on the stage, which has created ripples and a following unto itself.

About to embark on an international career in Trance, Tech Trance, Uplifting Trance and Progressive, Jem Lang will be sharing his vibe and collection of musical amazement with the world; Stay tuned!
