I gew up around the craziest synths, riffs, drums, and basslines, that Cairns FNQ Psytrance scene had to offer with thumping psy trance gods likes Infected Mushrooms, and Skazi visiting this great city, it goes to show the psy scene is big there. These sounds channeled into my imagination and created collaboration of mind blow tracks which in turn created me as and HOUSE DJ. I challenge myself both on track selection, and indeed mixing. A mixer has volume controls, eq, and effects for a reason so DJ's should use them. Just playing a track doesnt impress me.
Im a resident dj at The Beat Downstairs. I play every Friday and Saturday 8 to 11pm. Its a warm up set to a trance dj. The set stars off very mainstream house (sigh), then picks up between 9.30 to 10 into some very heavy underground house. You will be hearing stuff from Alternative Reality, and Far Too Loud, and alike. I guess the mainstream stuff is a warm up to the heavy house which is a warm up to the Trance dj. It works a treat. It even gets happy hardcore ravers dancing to house, wtf.
Some of my mixes are here. I think the mixes are shit didnt put too much effort but it gives you an idea of the tracks i play.

What do i think of the dj scene right now?
I think in Brisbane is very healthy and growing at a rapid rate, we seem to help each other alot and we are a friendly crew. But there is a hand full that treat it as a popularity contest, instead of it being about the music. If your music is good popularity will come with conviction.
