All About Me
Llupa is Tom Herbert-Doyle, an electronic music producer who’s tunes are always deep, melodic and bass heavy.
He started writing music while working in a recording studio in London. At the same time Big Beat was going through it's boom and so he was heavily influenced by the likes of Fat Boy Slim, Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method, Meat Katie, alongside the mighty Underworld and Leftfield. It was the mash of the broken beats of the Big Beat guys and the deepness of the Underworld vibes that brought him to where he is now - focussing on the deep, melodic breakbeat he loves.
With a slew of tracks and remixes released to date on the likes of Ego Shot, RUNE, Ridiculoud, Digital Sensation UK, Scarcity, Definition:breaks, Dusted Breaks and acclaim from DJ Mag, Mixmag and the wider deep and progressive Breakbeat community, there is no sign of him slowing up.
If you can't catch him out playing gigs in Melbourne he hosts ‘Disc Breaks with Llupa’, a weekly radio show on NSB Radio - recently nominated for Best Show at Breakspol - 'Bringing you the best from the deeper end of breaks'. Over 3 years worth of weekly shows has gained Llupa quite a following reaching breaks heads from Japan to Brazil, Canada to Europe and back here in Australia.
With forthcoming remixes out soon plus a stack of new original tunes, Llupa will be a name you'll be hearing much more of very soon.
